The Berry Fibre Muster was on this weekend at the Berry School of Arts, and I had a brilliant day talking to spinners and weavers and woodworkers and shepherds/shepherdesses and toolmakers. Different groups take turn hosting this market and showcase event every year; this year it was organised by the Wool Road Spinners and Weavers of Vincentia NSW, and they did a marvellous job! (Skip to 3:40 for a slo-mo of my technique~) Ayy that's a wrap on my first ever Bendigo experience behold a photodump of Massive Shawl WIP pics ✨️ The most nutso thing I did was probs knitting the whole thing without ever putting in a lifeline. The gods were on my side, clearly. Every single free moment over three months of my life went into dyeing and spinning and knitting this and now here it is at Bendigo with its little ribbon 🎀 ×2 speed clip of how I start a spin on a crossarmed/Turkish spindle, plus (yet) another clip of me spinning supported long draw, to the tune of one of my all-time-favourite classical music pieces. #TourdeFleece2026 has been a very chill one for me ☁️
